We age our pure maple syrup in 15 gal & 25 gal bourbon barrels sourced from the craft distillery Wigle Whiskey in Pittsburgh PA.  Because we use smaller bourbon barrels our barrel aged syrups take on a complex bourbon flavor that you will notice as soon as you open the bottle.

12 x 8.4oz bottles

Great in coffee, over pancakes or waffles, drizzle over fresh apple pie or sharp cheddar for a sweet and savory snack.  Delicious as a glaze on grilled salmon or chicken. The possibilities are endless!

Our family has been making pure maple syrup for over 20 years on the slopes of the Appalachian mountains in Northwest Pennsylvania.  The glacial soil and temperate climate in this region give our hard maple trees one of the best habitats in the world to produce high quality sap which we harvest and boil into pure maple syrup every spring.

Excellent Maple for Non-Alcholic Beverage Consumer

I'm actually not a big fan of maple syrup until I tried the Old State Farms maple syrup. I found them at a market North of Pittsburgh. I am very curious with food made with alcoholic beverage without the alcohol. When I saw these maple syrup on the shelf, the Bourbon caught my eyes. I bought a bottle of Rum and one of Bourbon. I tried the Rum first, and it was delicious. After finishing the Rum, I tried the Bourbon maple syrup, and WOW it is definitely my favorite of the two. I ended up dipping the pancake in the Bourbon maple syrup. What I love about this syrup is that it has the prefect consistency - not too thick and not too runny. It's sweet, but not too sweet. The maple flavor was lighter - the right level of maple flavor for me. I can really taste the Rum and the Bourbon in the 2 bottles I bought. I gave most of the bottle of the Bourbon for my supervisor's manager (2 levels above me) to try, and yesterday, he told me that HE LOVES IT!! He made his own waffles from scratch and he had it with the Bourbon maple syrup. I am going to get a few cases for Christmas for the office and friends, and saving a several bottles for me! I want to try the Bourbon Maple Syrup on ice-cream. I didn't have a chance before I gave my bottle away. I love ice cream, and I can just imagine it would compliment well with a lighter ice-cream flavor like vanilla. I highly recommend trying the Bourbon if you are only going to try one.
