Barrel Aged Syrup

Coming this fall bourbon barrel aged maple syrup! The syrup has been aging about a month so far,  this is our first go at barrel aging.  I’ve tied some from a friend of mine who makes syrup and it was unbelievably complex.   I picked a drum of syrup that had some really intense caramel overtones and I thought that would pair well with the flavor of bourbon.   Hopefully it will be ready to bottle this fall.   I’m thinking at least 3 months but maybe up to 6 to really get that full robust bourbon flavor.   If you’re not already on our email list sign up and we’ll let everyone know when it’s bottled.
